Unfiltered Bavarian-style wheat ale
A crisp, spicy, lightly hopped wheat ale. Brewed in the traditional Bavarian style and unfiltered for a naturally cloudy appearance.
Brewed with wheat malt in the tradition of the finest Bavarian-style Hefeweizens and lightly hopped with Cascade and Hallertau varieties. The beer’s unique yeast strain creates characteristic banana and clove aromas.
Complements poultry dishes and Asian cuisine because the beer’s fresh, light taste highlights the delicacy of a simple chicken dish, and Asian fare perfectly harmonizes with the beer’s fruit flavors. Smooth, rich and creamy brie contrasts the crisp, spicy wheat flavor of Michelob Bavarian Style Wheat to astonishing effect. The two tastes collide perfectly and a side of berries brings out wheat’s natural sweetness. This beer also pairs well with Norwegian Jarlsburg, a slightly sweet, nutty cheese, which enhances the banana and clove notes.
To serve Michelob Bavarian Style Wheat, pour the beer down the side of a tall, wide-mouthed glass until about one-half inch of beer is left in the bottle. Gently swirl the bottle, mixing what’s left, which agitates the remaining yeast that has settled. Pour the rest of the beer, producing a nice, thick collar of foam.
