Introduced: Sept. 8, 2008 Beer Style: Unfiltered dark wheat ale Description: The surprisingly light finish is a characteristic of dark weissebier, a style with roots back to the 1520s, and makes our Dunkel perfect for any season. Ingredients: Michelob Dunkel Weisse is brewed with a special Bavarian yeast strain combined with select wheat, caramel and chocolate malts to deliver unmistakable clove and banana tones with a roasted malt palate. Food Pairings: Michelob Dunkel Weisse pairs well with barbecued meats, spicy cuisine, traditional German fare, cheeses such as smoked Gouda and sharp cheddar, and a variety of sweet desserts including apple strudel, pecan pie and lemon cake.
